My search on ERIC returned some material but not as many that related exactly to what I wanted. I am searching for material that would be useful for planning and implementing an online chemistry class. I decided to try a more scientifically-oriented search engine for more resources. I tried Scirus.
The initial search was "online chemistry course" and it did give more results - almost 1 million. I added "laboratory" and reduced the number to about 16,000 - too many but getting better. Choosing to limit sources to journal resulted in 150 hits. This is a manageable number to start reviewing.
Unfortunately, my progress has been hampered by Microsoft. Update downloaded the latest package for my Windows system and it resulted in a system that will no longer boot. Until I resolve that, I'm limited to borrowing my son's laptop when he is home and not using it.

Sue, you are making good progress. Have you looked at the descriptors to see how articles that are right on target are indexed?
I have been through many blogs and so far I think you have made the most progress on this project and should be commended. Congrats on the work and I wish you the best of luck.
