I found that searching within the site or journal containing a valid reference can yield more. ERIC sent me to get a reference on EBSCO Host or a journal. On that site, I enter search terms and find more relevent papers. Some of the references were not shown on the ERIC search.

I'm having some trouble with ERIC. I find some good referrals but then I have to register or pay to see the content.
I have the same issue but I am finding that there are many excellent journals our there and most of my sources on ERIC can be traced elsewhere with the content. I like the tip you provide about going outside of ERIC following the link and searching EBESCO. I may have to give that a try.
Wow I think that your topic is great! I really thing that the use of online courses and junior colleges is increasing and this should be taken as a valid educational source. Sounds like you are plugging along great as well with your research. As Jill mentioned, she was having problems finding articles without paying.. If you find the article title and the author you can google it and usually get some sort of free portion of the article. You can also use the library's access to get alot of that stuff (which I'm sure you already know!)
I was able to get most of the resources I found thru the library link. I also was able to luck out online with a couple that I wanted to see.
